Mortlach 15, a well-aged Speyside whisky, offers a complex mix of dark chocolate, honey, ginger, spicy sweet sherry, leather, and citrus notes. The palate showcases a rich mouthfeel with fruity undertones of oranges and marmalade. With a balanced combination of sherry and bourbon casks, this whisky presents a bold and intense character, making it a challenging yet rewarding choice for experienced whisky enthusiasts.
SOWLEG Whisky Review
It's chocolatey, it's leathery, it's okay. It's a pretty long finish, a little bit of alcohol on the finish, spicy, oaky, leathery, salty, mulchy obviously. It's a nice complex palate, pretty long finish, just a hint of tobacco. If you come across this on sale, I would definitely recommend picking it up.

Cacao nibs really ultra high on the dark chocolate. The retail on this is 150 and to me that's a bit high. If you find this in the 100 to 120 range, I think it's worth it.
SOWLEG Whisky Review
It's a very spicy sweet sherry influence here that's the first part of the nose. It is definitely still a very good whiskey at a very nice price.

Multi upfront toffee fruity very friendly pleasant a sweet note a fruity note developing into satirist oranges but marmalade so harsh peel in it as well.

Softer lemon, little bit more lemon candy, lemon confectionary, lemon drops. This is a full disclosure label. They're giving us information, not flannel.

Telex - Mortlach 15 Year (Game of Thrones) Short Review
The complexity, the age statement at 46%, and it's got a little smokey factor to it, even though it's not peated. That's kind of a plus to me.

Mortlach 15 year old Gordon & Macphail Review
I am going to score this at eight this time round and I'm not actually sure whether that is my expectations to whiskey that has risen or if the quality has gone down just slightly, but it is definitely still a very good whiskey at a very nice price.

Mortlach 15 years Distillery Labels
The Mortlach 15 presents a smooth character with a strong sherry influence. The unique 2.81 distillation process adds complexity to the whisky.
